Initial trigger delay

My camera seems to take some time to start taking pictures or videos even when the animal is within a few feet of the camera. I keep getting pictures or videos of the animals ass end as it's leaving the frame. The video I have literally just shows it's ass within 2 feet of the camera. This is on the high setting

I would tilt the camera up a little bit, if the deer are coming right to left they may be above the sweet spot in the sensing area. That will also help get your flash to carry out farther and brighten things up even more rather than most of the flash hitting the ground right in front of the camera. If you think it's aimed too high after tilting it up then just lower the camera on the tree a bit.
