External battery for Gocam 6 volt or 12 volt

Seen conflicting info on what voltage external battery to use for my Gocam. Any help would be appreciated.

  What is your camera model? The regular GoCams use 6 volts but the Ghost models use 12 volts. If you get the Spartan battery box you can use a 12 volt battery and the box reduces it to 6v for the GoCam.
