Make sure that power saving is ON.

Do you have any scheduled events set? I have all my cameras send pictures at 9 AM, 3 PM, and 9 PM, and status reports at midnight, 3 AM (takes care of time changes), 7 AM, noon, and 6 PM. I know some people who use all 10 scheduled events.

Can you please post a picture of two from the camera as well as a screen shot of the status report, including the battery/signal strength indicators down through the SD card info?

    Thanks for the quick response.

No... no scheduled events. Just motion activated pictures.

I will paste the pics you requested below.

    Thanks again for your help.

Your batteries are dead, dead, dead.

I don’t know why the lithiums aren’t lasting, but they’re not providing any power at all at this point. Do you see the 3.52 for internal? Your internal battery is dead.

Ignore the battery indicator and the P number on the info strip. The critical info is those two voltage numbers.

Ok... so what do I do about it?

This will be the 4th set of lithium batteries I will have to put in it since september. That's pretty expensive.

When I go back to my property in a few weeks, I will install new batteries and turn on power saving, but do you have any other ideas? I purchased Spartan because it was said to be the absolute best, but this battery situation has become quite troublesome.

    Any further help is appreciated.

If power saving is turned off that will drain your batteries very quickly. You can turn that on and off from the app in the camera settings. I would turn power saving on and change the batteries and then see how long they last.

My camera lasted close to 2 months and the last month or so, batteries are only lasting 2 weeks

Trevor, can you start your own post so we don't get things confused with you and Vaughn please. What type of batteries are you using and are you getting more pics than usual lately?

That is about the usual battery life I get with Lithium's as well. I have my camera set to Photo + Video and probably get 50 photos a week, request 4-5 videos a week, and have 2 scheduled events a day. Pretty underwhelming but when the camera is fully charged it works as expected minus not sending a pic here and there. Look at getting an external battery, I have heard the 6V 12AH is the way to go

Greg, with the standard model cameras with power save turned on I would say you should get 1500-2000 pics on a set of lithium batteries if the signal is decent. A lot of times it can be as many as 2500 depending on day vs night images. The 6v 12ah battery set ups are definitely a big help with the battery life, especially since the battery is rechargeable. The Spartan battery box with the converter in it is even better than that. I get 6 months and 8000 transmitted pictures from my camera with the Spartan box on it.
