Verizon 3G transmission

Hi Guys: I've seen some info from Spartan and other outside posts that Verizon is shutting down 3g service later this year (supposedly around Dec. of 2020). With that, i have lost connection with two spartan older 3g cameras (no pics), and with one reconyx 3g camera. Does anyone know for sure if Verizon is starting to shut down their 3g network now? thanks - toolman.

    There is a chance but I haven't heard of anything yet. Are your cameras firmware up to date and are you still getting status reports?

    I have a GC-VCTb that has missed everything since yesterday morning. No scheduled pics or 3:AM status report, and doen't respond to requests. I'm afraid this might be the end of the line for it.

    I’ve lost 6 cameras in Northern VA. Verizon 3g is history for me. I was hoping to get through one more hunting season. 😡

    Verizon said they haven’t shut it down yet???? Is Spartan having Server issues??

    No, No server issues that I'm aware of. I did just read there were some major cell carrier issues starting yesterday or possibly Sunday night around 8:30. I will look into it and see if I can find anything out.

    Checked verizon site -  no news that 3g has been shut down, but, still lost (2) spartan 3g cameras at the same time and the 

    reconyx about 2 weeks ago. Kinda figured there would be another update/announcement/etc. before they pulled the plug. Maybe John is right and they are just slow to repair 3g problems.

    Something is going on with Verizon and 3g, I'll report back when I hear more.
