VERIZON 3G is now WORKING
I have been working with Verizon on the selective 3G camera shutdown we all have been experiencing for the past 10 days. It made no sense for some 3G's to stop working where others were still sending pics. Especially from the same locations. I had two 3G's and one quit while the other continued working. I brought the one that was not sending pics home and it was not sending pics from my home location.
I concluded that something was wrong here. If they were to shut down 3G in an area due to equipment changes then both should be shut down. I wondered why the selective device shutdown and could only conclude that it was a programming error someplace that Verizon wasn't aware of. I contacted their level 2 support with the issue and they agreed and I just checked this morning and my NO Send Picture 3G camera is now working. They have fixed the problem and we all should be able to use our 3G's til the end of December.
Hooray!!!!!
Get those cameras back in the field now.

Elizabeth, this had to be a unwanted result of a programming mistake. I had 2 cams and only 1 quit. Brought home the one that quit and it still wouldn't send pics. That eliminated a system wide shutdown as only some of the cameras worked and some quit. I called Verizon last week and finally got thru to their level 2 support and the were surprised of the problem. They said they would get right on it. Must have fixed it as they are working now.
