Picture intervals

Even with a 5 second interval the camera is not going to take and send another picture until it's done sending all three pictures of the previous burst. Have you tried photo+video instead of the burst mode?

So the camera won’t take another burst until all 3 pics are sent?

I’ve heard the video mode really drains the battery. I was worried the batteries would die on my camera 7 hours away. I put it out in September and am not going back till November.

Just video mode will kill the batteries pretty quickly. Photo+ video sends you the picture and saves the video. Then you request only the videos that you want to be sent.

The trigger interval isn’t between pictures in a burst. It’s the time the camera has to stay quiet after it’s finished sending the current photo(s) and when it is allowed to take another photo if there’s still something happening in front of it.

With the Ghost, you can set a bit of a delay between photos in burst mode (up to 3 seconds, I think), but with the GoCam, there’s no delay that can be set.

I second Johnny’s suggestion for photo + video. If you’re really concerned about batteries, use the smaller size video. It’s not bad, although the larger size is much better.

How do you view a video?

When set to photo plus video while viewing a picture you can request the video to be sent and next time the camera checks it it will send it, just like an HD. If apple phone there should be a video icon on the bottom of the screen and Android the request is in the drop down.
