Camera not sending pictures timely..

My camera ever since I got a new phone, I have not had a picture come in on its own. Like text or alert.. really frustrated, I have check everything with camera settings to my phone settings. The only way they will come is when I hit the app and open it, then they pour in.. help would be great

  Apple or Android? Do you have download only when on wifi turned off and auto download turned on?

  I have a Android, sorry for delayed response. I double checked my phone app settings recently, and all seems to be correct...but it will not send pics on its own. I still have to open my app then pics come in.

  I have it set to download whenever, not just wifi only

  Is auto download turned on too? Is the phone a Samsung?
