Camera not sending pictures

after changing batteries and moving this camera a month ago, it was only sending pictures occasionally. Now i cant even get it to send a test picture.

please assist,

    You're trying to send a picture while in setup? what error are you seeing on the screen? What is your camera model?

    Yes in setup.

    it says retrying... multiple times and then says may be something wrong with the SD card.

    model GC-Z4Gb2(S378Z)

    Have you tried replacing or formatting the SD card? The card should be 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80mbs or faster and a full sized card, not a micro in an adapter. Make sure that you format the SD card in the camera too.

    John,

    I was using an 8GB class 4 SD card before this all started.

    After my issues started and I read some other posts, I bought new cards for both of my cameras and now have HME 16 GB class 10 SD cards in them both and have formatted them in each camera. this is the only camera that i have the problem with. the other camera is an older 3G

    I would try a name brand SD card like sandisk, I have seen other customers have issues with the HME cards.

    I just returned from a whitetail hunt and had some new SanDisk SD cards waiting for me.

    After inserting the card and formatting it, I am still having the same problem. The camera will not send a picture.

    New SD card is 16 GB, 80 MB/s, class 10.

    The camera does send a status report as soon as I turned it to setup and received signal.

    What else can I do?

    Are you getting any errors on the screen now? The card is full sized correct, not a micro in an adapter? Is the cameras firmware up to date? Do you have any pending commands?

    camera has been off.

    just turned it to setup. waited for it to find service. took a picture and pressed ok to send.

    it says sending multiple times, retrying a couple times, setting, sending and then says there may be something wrong with the SD card. then it says failed.

    card is full size. status report says firmware is up to date. there are no pending commands.

    Try blowing out the SD card slot, those cans of compressed air work well for that.You can also try defaulting the camera in it's menu. I just want to clarify the error is SD card error not SIM card error correct?

    blew it out. same issue.

    same issue.

    took SIM card out and blew that slot out.

    stall not sending a picture.

    Yes, that will not work either.

    I would try the default again. You can also try updating the firmware manually even though it is up to date. Sometimes a fresh update can correct the errors.

    OK.

    Did both. camera beeps 3 times after default and after filmware update so i assume it is updated.

    still will not send

    Install the SD card and turn the camera to setup then go into the menu and to the firmware update option and click the ok button.

    Is the camera finding signal now? Are you still getting the SD card error? Try defaulting the camera again in it's menu

    Yes, camera gets great signal.

    I did the default again and the camera still wont send a picture.

    What happens when you try the manual picture in setup now? Any errors? Is the camera updating the status report on the app?

    John,

    Anytime I turn the camera from off to setup it sends a status update.

    once the camera finds service i take a picture manually.

    When I take a picture manually and press ok to send, the camera says, setting...sending...sending...retrying...setting...sending...sending...retrying...setting...sending...beeps...may be something wrong with the SD card...failed.

    Is the picture that you took on the SD card? After you look for the picture I would try formatting again if you didn't after the firmware update.

    yes, every manual picture I take is on the SD card. if i turn the camera on and set it in my office it takes pictures and they are all on the SD card.

    i did format it again and still the same problem.

    It might not let you but try it without an SD card.

    it just keeps flashing "NO SD CARD"
