Keith, I would check the APN again. I wonder if after the default if it reset itself. Also is your SD card a full sized card (not a micro in an adapter)?

Michael, can you post a new topic so we can help you out and not get things mixed up. Also list your camera model and the time and date of your last status report.

I checked APN on all 3 cameras after performing reset.  The APN stayed the same showing CUSTOM and the Telcel APN settings i inputted.

If the APN was incorrect, I dont believe there is anyway that a Pic from the camera to the APP would work.... and it does.

Also, I dont believe a Status Update can be sent from camera to App either.

    Isnt this correct?

SD card is a full size SD card.  I tried multiple Class 10 SD Cards in all 3 cameras.

I have 4 covert cell cameras and 1 Tactacam, so I feel pretty knowledgeable on these things.

Would having these 3 cameras not running all last year have anything to do with it?

Having them sit idle shouldn't have anything to do with it. The camera should send a requested status report to the app, at least it does with normal APN settings. Is the firmware on the cameras up to date? I wonder if there's a new Telcel APN. The thing with sending a test picture is the camera is already connected to the network when the sending process starts, when taking a picture from the on position the camera has to connect and then send so if it's taking longer to connect the camera may timeout and retry. Do you have the cameras phone number entered in the camera settings?

all 3 cameras sent status reports... all info on this is in my original post

No, the camera phone number is not set up in the camera settings.... Nor is it in the GCATTi camera that I have working good under a different username/password

It says this under the phone number setting... "Applies only to Carriers in the USA."  This is TELCEL in Mexico.

the only info that can be changed using the camera for APN is the APN only

Telcel has a username/password under their APN information.  could this be the problem?

If yes, the camera only allows the CUSTOM change of the APN address.... no option for username/password (some cell providers have username/password others do not)

I assume Spartan has a "Configuration Tool" for changing more APN info on GCATTi versions that is not allowed on the camera itself ????

Gotcha, the reason I mentioned the status report is you said something about status update being sent from camera to app.

I'm not very familiar at all with the Telcel, let me see if I can get someone to reach out to you that is more knowledgeable.

not sure if i still have a copy of the configuration tool.  one was provided to me a few years ago, but my laptop crashed between then and now.  not sure if the tool was part of my back up.

Your questions in earlier thread "Is the firmware on the cameras up to date?" Yes, I requested update on all cameras and the camera stated it had most up to date firmware.
    " I wonder if there's a new Telcel APN."
No, there is a APN username/password for Telcel, but only option on camera is to change the APN address
"The thing with sending a test picture is the camera is already connected to the network when the sending process starts, when taking a picture from the on position the camera has to connect and then send so if it's taking longer to connect the camera may timeout and retry." I now understand your explanation on sending manual pic on how that is different than camera being triggered and then sending... Doesn't the "status report" fall under the same process as a triggered pic that is being sent? Status reports are being received.

Are you just getting the midnight status report or at random times throughout the day?

The status report is a much smaller size so there is a chance if the signal is very poor that the report could be sent without the picture.

Each camera shows the report received 11/4 at 12:01

OK, thank you. I'm curious as to what Alex thinks. I'm leaning towards a possible signal/connection issue or even maybe an SD card problem. Usually when the SD card is bad you still get the status report from the same time that the picture was taken, although not always.
