    Hi,

I included a picture with this and have trouble with cloudy pictures

Sometimes they come through fine, and then I get a stream of cloudy pictures

The time of day or night doesn't matter, I've had cloudy pictures during the middle of the day too

The weather the past week has been dry and nice, yet I'm still getting some cloudy pictures

There's not been any frost or cold nights, with high daily temperatures

I cleaned the lens with a dry clean clothe but that didn't help

I sent and email to support and will let you all know if support helped me

    Thanks

    Tim

Is there any moisture that you can see inside the camera? Is the rubber gasket between the camera and the antenna in place?

    Thank you for replying,

I opened it yesterday when cleaning it, and a few drops dripped from the rubber gasket on the bottom

I cleaned the screen with a dry clothe and last night I still had a stream of cloudy pictures.

The only other thing I noticed was the screen inside the camera seemed to have a burned image or reflection of the batteries.  The inside screen had like an out of focus image of three or four batteries.

I thought maybe that image on the inside might be the problem.  I could take a cellphone picture of it tomorrow morning if you'd like.

And yes the rubber gasket from the antenna is in place.

I watch a lot of You Tube videos on setting up the camera and they made a point of remembering to include the gasket in the antenna.

    Great,

I'm a morning bowhunter so I will send you some cellphone pictures tomorrow morning around 10.00 am.

If you don't hear from me, it will mean I got a buck, in which case I will send the pictures Friday morning !      :-)

    Thank you for helping,

    Tim

    Hi John,

The camera didn't take any pictures last night and I put some corn the pile this morning and it didn’t take any pictures of me either.

I opened the camera and this morning the inside screen looked normal so I didn't bother with a picture from my cellphone.

I turned it off, waited fifteen seconds then moved the switch up to "set up", it beeped a few times and I could see an image through the inside screen of the woods while the camera was open.

I moved the switch up one more to ' on ' , the images on the inside screen went away, and I shut the camera door.

Then I stood and moved around by the bait pile for a minute or so and it never took any pictures of me.

I'm wondering if I could return the camera for a replacement ?   I paid a little over $ 500 for it at an electronics store and it's not working like a camera for $ 500 dollars should.

Could you send me a reply on whether I can get a replacement camera or help in getting this one working again ?

    Sincerely,

    Tim

Tim, do you have the camera with you? There's a bunch of stuff that we can try to get it working and if not they do have a two year warranty.

    Hi John,

No I'm sorry, it's still in the woods.  Do I have to bring it back from the woods ?   I don't like walking around and leaving scent behind any more than I have to.

On a good note, a status report email just came through and here' s what it included.  I don't know if all this is good stuff in the status report or not.

    Voltage: 5.1

    Battery: 3

    Signal: 5

    SD Free: 73%

    Temp: 63F

    Firmware: DSP:2019/11/22-19:21:09

    MCU:RL190411

    Photos Monthly: 389

    Photos Lifetime: 1449

You're batteries are getting low, especially if they are lithium. Can you post a screen shot of the status report from the app please. You will probably have to hit settings and change the view on your phone to desktop to see the insert image icon. Also you can turn that beep off in the cameras menu.

I was actually looking for the status report from the app on your phone. Are you not using the app? The camera sent a status report at 10:00 today, do you have a scheduled status report set up for that time? What type of batteries are in the camera?

    Hello,

I use the computer during the day while I'm at work.   At night at home I use my tablet.   I seldom use my phone because everything is so small on the screen.

And yes I scheduled a status report to come through at 10.00 am today.

Would you like me to send anything from my computer ?

If you'd like, I could just give you my password and you could log in.

Wupps, I forgot to answer the batteries question.

I've been using Duracell batteries and I started using the camera on Monday October 19'th.

They were new batteries from the store

So 1,449 pictures have been used on those batteries.

It could be low batteries causing your issue for sure or it could be the SD card. The card you have in the camera is 8gb and I haven't seen many 8gb cards that are to spec for the camera.  What you want is a card that's 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80mbs or faster and a full sized card, not a micro in an adapter, Right now I think the batteries are your biggest culprit. When you are at the camera you can turn it off and then back to setup, once it finds signal press the OK button to take a picture and then press it again to send the picture, see what it says on the screen.

    Thank you for your help.

I had it set to take a picture at 11.00 am and it just pushed one through.  The picture looks good.

I'm surprised about the batteries though because the camera only has 1449 pictures.   The you tube video's I watched led me to think I could get 5,000 or so pictures from new batteries.

The SD card shows it still has 73 % free.  I'd think that would mean it's okay but I can change it if you think it will help.

5000 is a lot of pictures on regular alkaline batteries, especially if you get a lot of night pictures. Look at the numbers on the pictures, are they in order or are there gaps? Your SD card may not be bad but it also might not be the best, most efficient, trouble free card for the camera. It also might be fine.

I'm a little disappointed in the camera.  For $ 500 dollars I shouldn't be having these settings issues I think.

I will try your changes and if it does not help then I need to return the camera before thirty days.

Thank you for helping though, I appreciate your time.

I think you'll be very happy with the camera once it's all straightened out. From what I've seen you don't really have any specific camera issues. When you go to the camera if you take a picture of the SD card and post it here we can check if it's to spec or not.

    Hi John,

I included three pictures.   The batteries, front side of the chip and backside of the chip.

I'm heading over to the computer store right now to buy the chip you recommended and I will be back in about an hour and a half.

I'm hoping we can work together in fixing this so I can have it back by the tree stand before noon today,

    Tim

Tim, that SD card being a micro in an adapter is most likely your problem. Get a full sized one that meets the other specs and format it in the camera and you should be all good.

    Hi John,

I'm back from the computer store and here's the new chip they told me to use.

    Is this chip okay ?

And the batteries below are supposed to be stronger than energizer or duracell.
