Camera not working

My camera has stopped coming on when I put it to the setup position. Sometimes I can get it to come on by continually turning it to the off and on position. Then to turn it off it reacts very slow and will take close to 5 minutes to turn off or I have to remove batteries to get it to turn off.

  Now I have removed the batteries and reinstalled them with the camera in the off position and the camera came on. It said initializing the searching and its still in the off position.

  It sounds like a possible switch problem. I would cancel any pending commands that you have and default the camera. Trying a different SD card can't hurt either. If non of that changes anything try turning the camera on and off really fast a bunch of times. Sometimes you get a little corrosion in the switch contacts or maybe a piece of dirt and that can clear it out.
