Flash won’t work on GoCam

It will take pictures but it’s like the flash won’t work. My flash setting is on high but I didn’t have my SD card formatted so I did that. Will that fix my problem or is there another solution?

    It might, is the SD card to spec? 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80mbs or faster and a full sized card, not a micro in an adapter. Is the info strip showing on the pics?

    Yes it’s a 32gb and full sized card and the info strip is showing.

    Yes when I click on status report it says firmware up to date

    OK, it might be a stuck ir cut filter too. You can turn it off and take the batteries out and give it a little tap tap on the sides and see if that dislodges it. If you look at the front of the camera over the lens opening you'll probably see the filter, it's a little pinkish mirror looking piece, that shouldn't be in front of the lens at night.

    If I knock the filter off the lens will it affect the daytime pictures?

    You're not knocking it off, just dislodging it so it's free to move. It's supposed to move when the light levels change but sometimes they get stuck.

    Okay I’ll format the SD card and see if that works and if it doesn’t I’ll give that a try. Thank you for your help

    I went and got the camera and the filter wasn’t stuck it was moving freely and the flash still isn’t working and taking black pictures

    Default the camera in it's menu and I would try swapping batteries and even try a different SD card. After that you can try a manual firmware update but you may need to get in touch with tech support and send it back.
