You'll want to call support 770-582-0004 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern M-F and ask that. I don't know whether Spartan is still activating 3G devices or not. Also, last time I checked (a few days ago), there were no AT&T SIMs available but that may have changed. Support is your best source of info on this.

They have a pretty good deal going on right now. Under the promotions section look for 3g upgrade coupon. $60 off new 4g camera. As for our cameras they are paper weights at this point. Att refused to help…

I had 2 cameras that still had data that I was able to purchase more data on to get til February. The cameras I have that did not have data right now I couldn’t buy any in att buy a session. I am going to call support but wondering if anyone has talked to them. Really don’t want to be on hold for 2 hours….

If the cameras were still active as of February 2021 you can continue to add data until February 2022. If the camera was inactive/expired on or after February 2021 then you are out of luck. This is coming from att and personal experience I’ve had on both sides of the fence.

$60 off a $400 camera!!!!  This is bullshit!

My two 3g cameras are garbage now!  What a joke!

    Landon,

It's not just cameras, it's all 3G devices. Your 3G phone (if you still had one) would be garbage, as well.

AT&T sunset is 2/22/2022 and Verizon is 12/31/2022, although service may end sooner than that in some areas.

Can you use the 3g cameras as game cameras and retrieve the pictures manually?

Yes, just turn send mode off in the camera settings.

How do you tell what “G” you cameras are?

model number is the easiest way to know for sure. Most of the time the 3g's had the skinny pencil antenna and the 4g's have the wider paddle antenna.

    GC-ATTb/i/xb, GC-VCTb/i, GC-VZWb/i are all 3G.

The 4G GoCams are CG followed by a letter, then 4. Ghosts and GoLives are all 4G.

are there different sim cards when you are changing from AT&T to the spartan app?

Yes, you must get a SIM from Spartan in order to move from AT&T Buy-A-Session to a Spartan plan. I don’t think that Spartan is activating 3G devices. (I’m not sure if you’re asking a different, unrelated question.)
