One camera asking to purchase credits but is already paying monthly to Verizon wireless
I have 3 cameras that I pay 5 dollars monthly each to Verizon. They all worked great for months but I had one camera to go dead and it was a couple months before I was able to retrieve and replace batteries. Since I replaced the batteries it works BUT getting no pics because Spartan says via email that I need to purchase credits.
I’m still paying Verizon already so how do I get the camera cut back on so it will take pics?
Thanks

When you get your data from the carrier directly you need to purchase premium credits from Spartan (The credits are included in the Spartan data plans) If you buy a dozen at a time they are $3 each (one credit per camera per month) Since you say they were working fine for months you must have bought a bunch when you set the cameras up and finally ran out. You can check your credit history/usage under the account tab on the app. If the camera has been on and you are out of credits you are probably only getting your midnight status report.

This can’t be correct. I’ve never bought premium credits but once back in October of 2020. I purchased 2 new Covert Cameras in late March 2021 and never bought any credits for those 2 cameras. I went directly through Verizon and they worked perfectly for months. And 1 of those new cameras is still working just fine with no credits. No need for premium credits from Spartan. Should I just contact Verizon directly?

You do need the credits for Spartan if getting the data from Verizon directly. As for Covert I didn't think you could put their cameras on your Verizon account, I thought you had to purchase the data through Covert, that really doesn't matter though. If you look at your credit history, you bought 12 credits and had 2 free ones which is 14 total credits, if you look at the usage the cameras have used 14 credits and you are now out. You could always just buy one and see if the camera starts working again.
