New Camera, ATT said a different sim card needed
We just received our new gocam 4g/lte-at&t and were told that it needs a different sim card and that they would send it to us free of charge and help set it up if I call back. We were shocked.
Did anyone else have this issue?

The cameras come with Spartan SIM cards, you need to get your data through Spartan. If you are trying to get your data a different way then you will need a new SIM card. Just be sure to check the plan pricing because a lot of times the carrier plans can be more expensive. Also if you get your data from the carrier then you will need premium credits through Spartan which are $3-$4 a month.

Hi John,
I currently have the 3g cam which currently works great, but will go dead soon using the sartan credit and I have my att account. All I want to do is set up this new camera using the same setup. So I called att to add this camera and they said I need a different sim card. Is this not the case???????

I just moved 6 AT&T cameras from Buy-A-Session to Spartan shared data plan and will be adding four more. For my ten cameras that don’t use a lot of data, it’s $740 a year and includes premium. It’s $750 a year to AT&T just for data, plus $360 for premium.
For one or two cameras, BAS may be more cost effective. If you’re wanting to use BAS, you’ll need a bring your own phone or table SIM and you can get it just about any place you buy SIMs (Walmart, Best Buy, etc.).
