Hello all, really enjoying my new go live camera. Just some thoughts on a big improvement which I think everyone would like to see. In the burst mood there's no way to adjust the time between the photos. The cameras are so quick the 1st pic is pretty much the same as the next ones. The ability to put time between the pictures is a plus when trying to identify a certain deer. It gives you that little bit of time where he might move to show you a different view which can show you identifiable markings, scares , headgear differences and such. A setting to add time between shots would make a good camera a great camera. Just my 2 cents. Thank you Jim S

    Video is even better. Try 5 second video. (I use photo + video with 20 second video FWIW.)

    Ghost has burst interval setting. I’m not sure why GL doesn’t and I’m not sure whether it can.

    I have been running my camera in photo/video with a 10 second video. Works well. Just a data issue. That's awesome Elizabeth, gives me the reason I need to purchase another Spartan camera. The features on the Ghost camera sound like what I'm looking for. The clarity of my Go-live is impressive on the large thumbnails setting. And just incredible on 8mp with HD download. Great job on your part. I'm assuming the Ghost cam has the same len. The spec are the same. Any chance of up in coming sales?

    Ghost and GoLive are very different cameras. Different lenses, Ghost crops video and video doesn’t start until 2 seconds after the photo is taken.

    I think the native resolution of the GoLive sensor is probably 4 MP so that’s the setting I use.

    What would be the advantages of using the native resolution of 4MP over the 8MP. Should I switch it back to 4MP? I did put it on4MP yesterday, I have mine doing picture and 10sec videos. I had 49 pictures /videos this morning all night time pics so i can't really determine if the 4MP was any different. But extremely impressive. Those 49 pic/video's where taking in 40min. Buck scratching in the oaks for acorns.

    Anything over the native resolution is made up pixels, it's called interpolation. Most cameras on the market have sensors that are 3-5 mp's. The megapixels won't change the standard pics that are sent to your phone, the only thing it will change is the HD images if you request any or the pics if you download them from the SD card. Transmitted image size in the camera settings on the app will affect the pics that are sent to the app.

    So there would be no difference in the picture sent to your phone on 4MP versus 8MP if you have it on large thumbnails? The only difference would be if you requested a HD image or video? I did see that at 4MP the HD image is at 2688×1520
    and the 8MPwas 3840×2160

    The thumbnail size is set by whether you choose normal or large. It isn’t related in any way to the M settings. The MP settings has nothing to do with the video resolution. Video resolution is an entirely different setting.

    Okay gotcha. I'm going to keep it on 4MP hopefully I'll get a good daytime pic and request the HD and compare to already received 8MP HD . Might be able to save some data there. On another note. I'm running 12 lithium battery's inside, it's taking about 225pics. The battery's are still saying full. My info strip at the bottom had AA3 LI0 at 6am. And AA5 LI1 at 9am? Battery's on the water out?

    The only power info that's meaningful are the internal and external voltages shown on the status report. Ignore the battery symbol and anything other than SLR (indicating that the solar panel is working if you are using one) on the info strip.

    So 6am this morning my Int.voltage is at 3.85v and my ext.voltage is at 9.15v. I was just curious as to what the letters with numbers mean. Like AA5- AA3 mean as well as my battery when it shows LI0 - LI1 - LI3. I'm assuming it's something to do with state of charge?

    AA is the internal aa batteries that you put in the camera, the higher the number the higher the voltage. LI is the built in lithium battery.

    As I said in my earlier message, best to ignore info strip (except SLR if you are running a solar panel) and just pay attention to the actual numbers on the status report.
