iOS app notification badge
Happening for a few months now. I notice the count on the app badge grossly over counts notifications coming in. It always double counts, but today it is counting each notification as 4x on the badge count.
Anyway to get it to increment count the notifications the right way? It does this the same on my iPhone and on my iPad.
also, it would be awesome if the status of viewed photos would sync via iCloud so the viewed status would be accurate on both devices.

Are you deleting the photos manually by any chance? As far as syncing the app and online portal that would work well if there was only one user for the camera but if you share that camera with others it will mark the pictures as viewed for them as well. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

I do not manually delete unless I need to reformat the card. I do not share my cameras with anyone. And yes. I have deleted and reinstalled the app very recently. There is just some kind of problem with the badge increment count.
I also wish it would sync viewed status between my devices. I have to view or mark viewed on both devices separately. If I skip using my iPad for a few days, the badge count will be in the hundreds.

Syncing all devices would not be desirable if multiple people (e.g., family members) share an account login. Each person would probably want to control the view status on their own devices. That’s my situation. When I move from device to device, I just mark all as viewed on that device.
I have seen it happen that I’ve marked all as viewed and when I come back later (usually the next morning), pics I viewed and marked as viewed the night before are showing as new. I’m not sure why that is.
