GoCam External Power Port
I have several Verizon 4G GoCams on which the external power supply input no longer works. The connector and port are not the problem because I have removed the circuit board and power is getting to the pins on the back of the connector where attached to the board. So the problem is somewhere between the port and the switch, so I don't think it is something I can fix.
My plan is to solder a pigtail to the power bus in the AA battery compartment and run a lead out of the bottom of the unit.
Is there any literature anywhere that provides the size and type connector used at the external power port? Thanks.

The connector is 4.7mm X 1.7mm
Did a black bear unplug the power connector? That's what happened to mine. Take a real good look at the traces on the board near the power jack. I think you'll find cracks. Run jumpers bypassing the traces on the board. Or have a cell phone shop reflow that area of the board.
