Anybody had anything start working like it should after today’s scheduled maintenance?

    No.

The scheduled maintenance didn’t have anything to do with the texted pictures problem.

If you want pictures other than to the app, you’re going to need to send them to email. Set up a special email account just for pictures, then set up an email app for that account on your phone.

At some point, texted pics to Verizon may come back, but the same thing could (and probably will) happen again.

I actually got a pic text to me awhile ago but only one. They’re logging on out place so I’ve got a lot of pics on portal but none on email. Just set up text yesterday playing around and just got the one pic this afternoon. No big deal it will work itself out.
Long as pics go to portal life is good.

Realityvideoman, are you using the app? Last year, I used our cameras to monitor the timber thinning. It was quite entertaining and I was able to keep track of every load that was hauled out, too. That equipment, especially the feller buncher, just fascinates me!

HunterJOEY, Liz and I are but we don't work at the main office. We do beta testing, trade shows and as much tech support as we can do.

My camera just stopped doing everything. Last activity was 8-19-19 at 11am, which was a scheduled event. I have a GC-ATTb. Att says there are no network issues. Firmware was updated with latest 1-31-18 for some time now. What would cause me to have to go out into the field to power off and on the cam manually to reset anything?Just looking for opinion on what might be the cause.

Have you checked you premium credits? Are you still getting status reports? Are you using the app to get your pictures or getting them through text?

I have 9 credits left. I am not getting status reports. Last was 8-18-19 at noon, my schedule for them. I typically use my email to look at photos, but photos are not being pushed to email but nor are they in the app or online portal. Everything mirrors no activity at all.

On the bottom right corner of your pictures do you see anything other than P5 showing? It's best to look at night pictures when checking.

    Jason,

Bad SD cards and broken antennas can cause the camera to quit working. Your camera has been down for over 3 days now and that’s not good.

    suzyjames58,

Verizon is blocking delivery of text messages. Use premium and the app and/or email rather than your phone number.

Also, today on the online portal I had to register my account again (because of the maintenance done?), but my camera setup in the portal still shows how it was originally setup. Does anyone know what this re-registering might mean for camera functionality?

    Arc5datesend,

It depends on your camera model. If you are using the app, look at the status report page and it will tell you whether your firmware is current or not. If it isn’t, update it. Or you can look on the web portal, support, support, downloads page.

The maintenance did not have anything to do with reregistering your account. Is your camera still sending pics to the portal and app? It should be. The registration code is a temporary “hook” to get the camera and your account in sync. Once that’s done, the account depends on the camera’s IMEI.

If you want to be sure the camera settings are okay, just request a settings update.

Did not know that firmware is camera type specific. It says I am up to date. Will be having my cam investigated in the field. Thanks and regards.

Bentley, tech is still aware of the situation but there's nothing they can do. The reason your son is still getting the pictures is because it's Verizon blocking the messages to your phone and he is using Sprint. I've learned recently it's called filtering. Basically because it's hunting season there's a lot of cameras out and Verizon's automatic protections look at all the photos coming from the server as potential spam or something that could cause a problem to their operations. ATT has done it in the past and it's lasted anywhere from a few days to a long week. Now Verizon is doing it, we have no idea how long this could last.
