Could there be an outtage in your area? Is the cameras firmware up to date and what is the camera model?

Did you do a manual or over the air firmware update?

Here's a link on how to do the update and the list of downloads. Make sure you get the download for your exact camera model. You'll want to follow the manual instructions. Also check the pin on the base of the antenna and make sure it's not broken off.

    Keith,

It sounds like you are trying to open the file. Don’t do that. Click on Download, then Save the file to the blank SD card.

What do I do after I put it on sd card

After it's on the card put the card in the camera and go to the update firmware option and hit the ok button. You should be able to see the firmware update on the screen. After you load the firmware on the SD card look at the file name and make sure there's no number in parenthesis in the name. That would mean it's a copy and it won't work.

This is what I did. I put sd card in computer copy the up date and pasted it on the sd card then put sd card in camera went to fw update hit ok it popped up no file found. This is nerve wracking I need it to work right now of all times the rut is in right now

Is the file on the SD card? Did you format the card before loading the firmware?

On the computer, do you see the file on the SD card? The name is just letters and digits, no space or parentheses or digits inside the parentheses. If you downloaded it more than once, you may have multiple copies. If the camera is saying file not found, it means that the exact file it is looking for is not there.

See if this short video might help. I know this is frustrating, but this part is probably user-related rather than camera-related.

Did you check the pin on the bottom of the antenna? How long was the camera working for before it started giving you problems?

I think your going to have to get in touch with a tech at the office. I would send them an email tonight with the details and maybe a link to this thread so they know what we've tried.

That's great Keith, something must have been a little quirky and that straightened it out.
