Dylan yours is a US Cellular and Bucky's is Verizon so it's different. I would try the manual update first and see if that works and if not then contact tech and see if by chance they do have another firmware for it.

This is getting a bit complicated.

Side note, I placed the camera in an open wheat field (no trees/hills around) next to my house and it’s working fine. I also tried to update the firmware and it said file not found. I guess I’ll try to figure out how to manually update it like John said. I would like to be able to put it up in an area I actually hunt eventually.

    Bucky,

You have to save the firmware file to the SD card using a computer. Did you do that?

    Bucky,

Here’s a link to the instructions. You want to do a manual firmware update.

I have the exact same issues. I’ve tried everything. 2 of my cameras are sitting in the back seat of my truck. It all started with firmware and seemed to coincide with the new app. Spartan has an issue and they should do a recall or switch out our cameras. We spent and continue to spend a lot of money to have a reliable camera at our hunting property. Sad

The new app has nothing to do with your camera being able to connect to the network. The app and camera don't talk to each other at all. The camera connects to the server through the cell network and the app and the server talk to each other.

What is the EXACT model of the cameras and what is the DSP information? You can get that by turning the camera to SETUP then going to the third menu tab and down to Information.

When did you do a firmware update?
