Camera stopped sending photos, but turns on fine
I have a GoCam (AT&T, 3G) in the field. It has been working fine for a couple of years and then spontaneously stopped sending photos on November 22. I am far away from this camera, so I asked a colleague to check it in the field, and everything they reported back seemed to be fine - cell service and battery were good, the settings unchanged from what they were previously. They tried manually sending a photo in setup mode twice, but neither came through. Both times, the screen said "Setting..." for a while. The AT&T account has plenty of data for the month. Any idea on what the problem could be?
Btw, this is an older camera and I cannot manage it through the Spartan portal.

What model camera? I’m not aware of any model that can’t use the portal. I’m running several ATTb from 2015 using premium.
Is the firmware current? Did they format the SD card? Sometimes resetting the camera to defaults works, but it’s easier when the camera is on premium because you can request a settings update and get your settings back.

I am supporting this camera, but I was not there to install it initially so I don't have all the information. I just know that it is a GoCam, installed around 2017. Can you please tell me how I would ensure the firmware is current and SD card formatted?
Pictures are going to an email address, but it has not received any photos since November 22.

The latest firmware for that camera model is 1/31/2018. On the camera with it in setup mode, Menu, third tab, scroll down to Information and the FW data should be there. It wouldn't surprise me if the camera FW is not current. That firmware fixed dropped connection issue.
Format the SD card: camera in setup, Menu, third tab, scroll down to Format.
That camera can use premium and the portal, just FYI. However, it's a process setting it up and you may not want to deal with that. It's a lot easier to manage a camera that's on premium but getting it through may be more trouble to you than it's worth.
Here's the page with the firmware files for download and the instructions:
