I'm using this camera for security so it is in operation 24/7 and set to a trigger interval of 5 sec, however on windy days random things will trigger it to go off constantly. So recently I've been trying to crank up the trigger interval to account for this mid day. However it is always stuck at 5sec, I've tried to update this in both locations to update as seen above. The request from the mobile app and web portal seems to go through fine, but the camera is still taking pictures like crazy. SO I do a settings retrieval and low and behold it is still at 5 sec trigger interval, as opposed to anything I update it to (usually like 5 or 10 min). All other settings update from the mobile app and web portal seem to update fine, and usually this just leads to me disabling the motion detection temporarily.

You can check in the camera settings in the app to see if the time zone is set. Unless you set start/stop times you only need to change the main trigger settings. After you click update is that green update option turned to red and now say cancel? Those start/stop times should say off if you aren't using them.
