I'm assuming you meant 2019 not 2029, if that's the case there is a newer firmware available. The most current is 11-22-2019. Since the camera isn't connecting you'll want to cancel all pending commands and do a manual firmware update. Make sure to format the SD card in the camera before loading the update on it and make sure you use the firmware for the exact camera model that you have. You'll have to follow the instructions in the link below for cameras that do not have the firmware update option in the menu.

In case in case you aren’t tech savvy, here’s a link with more detailed instructions and a video showing the download process.

Done and update confirmed. Photos properly stored on SD card, but still not transmitting.

Have you tried different SD cards?

Does the camera pass the Hello test?

What does the screen say when you take/send a manual photo?

If you are indoors, have you tried outdoors? I helped someone early this morning and his camera wouldn't work inside his house (a metal pole barn) but worked outside.

Indoor or outdoor same. 5 bars all over. Sending manual photo, says 'Setting..' then 'Failed'. Never says 'Sending...'. SD card is Sandisk 32gb class 10. Changing to another doesn't help. Hello test returns 'Test Failed"

If the Hello test fails, that means that the camera does not have a data connection. Have you checked your Verizon account (if the camera is on your account) to be sure that the camera is there and has an active data plan. You may need to get in touch with Verizon tech support and have them look into it. The fact that the camera shows full bars indicates that it's getting signal. However, it doesn't have access to the network because it appears not to have a data connection.

If you are getting your data from Spartan, then you'll want to be sure that your payment information is correct. Spartan plans autorenew so you shouldn't be having a problem but if something has changed with the credit card on file, it can't autorenew.

Until you can get that camera to pass the Hello test, there is not point in trying to take/send a manual photo or do anything else. That camera must pass the Hello test.

I'm going to try a new SIM card. If it works we're done, if not I'll be back. I had Verizon reactivate to account just to make sure.

If everything you have tried and are going to try doesn't work, then you'll want to contact real tech support. support@spartancamera.com or 770-582-0004.

With the camera in setup, scroll over to the third menu tab, then down to Information. What is the firmware date shown there?
