What model camera is it? The camera should be plenty fast enough, .6-.7 of a second. Can you post a picture from the camera?

You may need to change to the desktop setting on your phone to see the icon to post a photo. Any chance it's a weed or bird triggering the camera? Maybe request a video to see if it's windy.

Your pictures do have an M at the bottom on the info strip correct?

Yes they do have an M. Maybe a weed is setting them off but I don’t think so because then I would get multiple photos? Seems to me if a deer is walking through the camera is delayed in taking the photo. I have it set on 3 burst and I usually get just landscape.

You may need to change the camera angle if you have it 90 degrees and close to the trail that they are traveling on.

Three shot burst isn’t causing the problem, but you get three photos within about a second and a half so it’s usually not very informative. Have you tried photo + video?

It may help if you post that photo that Johnny asked about. It’s possible that the camera may benefit from being aimed differently.

I'm having the same problem. Once the camera triggers the object is gone. I've tried this several times by walking about 30 feet from camera and it sends a photo of just the landscape. Walked pass camera again about 30 feet and nothing, didn't take a photo. I believe something is wrong with my new camera.

Maybe you need to adjust the camera up or down. Can you post a picture from the camera? You can try defaulting the camera using the menu in case there's a strange setting.

I'll try to send pic once I figure it out but I did adjust it up just now and walked about 10' from it and no photo.

What is the time and date from the last status report? Are the pics on the SD card and just not being sent or is it not even taking them?

Try formatting the SD card or even swapping it with another one. Make sure the card is to spec, 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80mbs or faster and a full sized card, not a micro in an adapter.

I'll format it and try it again. It's to spec. It's even faster 130 mbs. Thanks. I'll get back shortly.

I formatted sd card and it seems like it sends whatever pic it chooses. Unless the other photos are on card. I'll check later, its 104° outside. If the other photos are on card what then?

It sounds like maybe the SD card is bad. Do you have another you could try?

Also you can press the playback button (arrow) and check the pictures on the camera screen.

I don't have another card. I'll get another one but the town i got this one is 45 miles away. I'll check the camera later. This has been such a hassle getting this camera to work. Its not cut and dry.

If you are getting a different photo than the one you requested, the SD card is bad. If you have formatted the card and it’s still happening, you have a bad card for sure.

You can log on to my.spartancamera.com, Camera Management and look at the number assigned to each photo. If they are all the same, it’s definitely a bad SD card.

Elizabeth and John, there's one thing i read and I may have it under control now. The sd card has to be formatted in the camera not on another device. It's sending pics now. Thank y'all.

Yes that could have definitely been the cause, hopefully you're all go to go now

Yes it was. It's picking up around 60 feet away. Its amazing what will happen if you do it correctly.
