Does your camera have a data plan? Did you add it to your Verizon cell phone plan or buy a data plan from us? If you bought a data plan from us, did you get both a receipt and an activation email?

If you added the camera to your Verizon cell phone plan, it sometimes takes a few hours for the plan to be active. With our plans, you will get an activation email once the plan is actually active.

The fact that it shows bars just means that it can see the network, not that is has permission (a data plan) to actually use the network.

I activated the account through Spartan. I received 2 emails, but I don’t believe I received an activation email.

For some reason, Verizon activations (whether directly from Verizon or from us) sometimes take several hours. You’ll get an activation email when the account is “live”. Then you’ll be able to get your camera set up.

Just following up. It’s been 5 hours and still no activation link?

If it has to be activated by hand, it may be tomorrow. The office is closed on weekends and I’m not sure how those manual activations are handled.

When you go into the cameras menu there's a hello test, see if it passes or fails. It's in the diagnostics section.

It fails. It says account pending activation when I go online to check its status. How do I cancel the service? I'll try a different one

That would cause it for sure. Are you trying the camera where you intend to use it? Any chance there's Verizon where you want to put the camera?

There maybe. But they won't do the activation due to the zip code I used

That shouldn't have anything to do with it it. Did you use the zip code that's associated with the credit card you're using?

Yes. How do I fix this?

I think you're going to have to send an email or call internal tech support. You'll have to leave a message, a lot of them are working from home and they are returning calls and emails in the order that they are received.
