Badge notification on iOS

Please please please fix this. I bought five Spartan cameras and used to be able to glance at the app icon to see if any new photos were triggered. Now I have to open the app manually several times a day to check. It’s like having an email or text message server that only updates new message when you manually cycle the inbox. So frustrating.

To be clear, I am talking about the counter on the app icon. It used to be easy to see if a phot had been triggered on any of my cameras just by glancing at the home screen of my iPhone when I would scan to see how many texts, emails, WhatsApp messages etc had come in. But now the counter is gone. So my choices are: check the app manually or enable banners that persist until cleared. Which can be annoying since some of the cameras have set times each day to take a photo. Make sense?

The developers are looking into it, which is what I explained several messages ago and Johnny explained just now. Apparently, the counter works with the old download (one picture at a time) method but doesn't work or is not accurate with the new download (several pictures at a time) method.
I think that just about everyone misses the counter. It wasn't removed because the developer thought it wasn't needed.
