Deleting photo's

Having 4 camera photos being sent to me. One camera is mine camera other three are friends. Currently on my camera can't delete more than one photo at a time. Other camera photos don't have the option "trash can" to delete a photo. Prior to this app update had no issues with deleting a photo. Anyone one else having this issue?.

    With the new update people with guest access can't delete photos since now they are also deleted from the portal. Just set your purge days in the app settings and the pictures will automatically be deleted (unless you saved them) on the day you set.

    I understand doing that. Question: Why is it that I can't delete a number of photos now after the update. Can only delete photo one at a time.

    Question: why on guest access cameras can no longer delete photos that are showing up on cell phone. I could prior to the update. Trash Can icon isn't showing no more.

    Deleting photos from the app deletes them from the portal. Allowing guests (who don’t have admin access) to delete is probably not something you want to do.

    Have your guests use purge days (in the app settings). After the set number of days, any photo that hasn’t been saved is deleted from the app automatically. There’s seldom any reason to delete photos manually.

    Just about everyone should be using purge days to control how long photos stay on their devices. Save some time, be lazy (or efficient) and let the app do the work.

    You should have gotten an email last week about the update that is pretty much the same into that’s in this article. If you didn’t get the email, you may want to check your SPAM folder and if it’s in there, change your settings so emails from Spartan don’t go there. If it’s not in your SPAM folder you may want to opt in to receive emails.

    Question: on my phone spartan app home screen the "refresh" icon is no longer showing. After the update this no longer showing. I have other folks and it is showing on their home screen. Why isn't it showing?.

    The iOS app was updated and is using the new download method. Those are probably people using the Android app, which is still using the old download method. It will be updated soon and when it is, it will use the new download method and won't have the refresh button.

    You don't need the refresh button with the new download method. Just pull down from the top of the screen and it will refresh if it hasn't already.

    I find this interesting. I know of other people that are using iphone with updated iOS app and their home screen is showing the "refresh" icon.

    They are running the old app. Maybe they don’t have auto update turned on.

    Question: why isn't the spartan  app purging pictures?. I have the "auto purge days" sent at 3. Have pictures showing with date of 1-9-2021.....I tried having the "days" set at 1 day....no pictures were purged.

    The app won't purge until the day AFTER the number of purge days. Set to 1 day will purge on the second day after, I think, and the first time the app is opened on that day.

    However, if you scroll down past those photos, they'll reload.

    I've just checked one of my cameras and I'm seeing something similar, though, so I'll ask what's going on. It's possible that purge days isn't working as it should so it needs to be looked into.

    Elizabeth, also noticed "video request" isn't functioning. Prior to the update the video icon would not be showing after requesting a video....that is not longer occurring. Video icon can be selected a number of times now. I have requested a video get nothing back.

    It doesn't go away until some time after the video has been downloaded to the app.

    What is the command history showing for that video request? Is it possible that there is a problem with the SD card?

    How long has the command been pending? Have you gotten more photos since then?

    What model is the camera? Does it have a Format button on the status report page?

    Here's some info in checking to see if there are any obvious signs that you may have a flaky SD card:
