I'm having the same issue. I believe this is an APP update issue. Never had this problem until around 3 weeks ago. Taking 20 - 30 seconds to load a single picture. It feels like I'm reloading all photos just to view the most current. This began happening after one of the updates. User Friendly App - NOT!

Dennis, yes it is something with the app, do you have background download turned on in the app settings? Are you using the normal production version of the app or are you on the beta version?

You can also try some of these troubleshooting steps.

I am using the beta version of the app and I have the same issue after the last Android update. When I click on photos it says loading, loading and takes approximately 20 seconds to actually open a photo. This has been going on for approximately 3 weeks. For the last 2 days, the camera won't send pics to the app. I have changed to brand new batteries and it worked for 1 day. I have checked online and there are no new photos uploaded there either.

Here's what I would do for the slow loading, follow the below instructions in the exact order you see them. Especially clearing the cache and storage before opening the app after reinstall. If that doesn't help then do it all again except this time after you uninstall remove yourself from the beta program and install the production version of the app.

Go into your phone settings (not the app) and to apps and find the Spartan app, once you click on the Spartan app you'll see storage, click on storage and there's a place to clear the cache and data/storage. Clear both of those and then uninstall and reinstall the app. Before the app opens for the first time clear the cache and data/storage again. Then open the app and log in.

John, I have followed the directions to a "T".  There are no photos getting to the online portal.  The only thing I have not done as of yet is to remove myself from the Beta program.  I am going to go manually activate the camera and then see what happens.  I will let you know.

If the pictures aren't getting to the portal then it's not an app issue. It's something with the camera or your account. Are you still getting status reports?

So I went to the camera.  I can turn it on...it shows me all the menu information etc.  There are no new photos thought.  There are no new photos on the camera or upload online.  I did receive a status report at 8pm, the time that I have it normally sending me one every night.  Any ideas?  I changed the batteries yesterday or the day before....not sure which.

What is sensitivity set to? Do you have any start-stop times set?

I would default the camera in it's menu and format the SD using the cameras menu as well

I will give that a shot tomorrow.  I have to pull it from a tree.

I did everything you said John. The app still says photos loading when viewing pictures. It has gotten better though. The wait isn't as long and sometimes it doesn't do it.
