Go Cam turns on by itself after installing new batteries and overheats

    For ants you want to freeze the camera for at least 48 hours to kill all the ants and the eggs. If there was a lot they may have shorted something out inside the camera. I would freeze it and then blow it out after it thaws and see if it's any better.

    I froze the camera and got all of the ants and eggs cleaned out. Upon reinstalling the batteries, the camera (screen) won’t turn on now. The green light flashes when sensor picks up movement but that’s the only sign of life. Just noticed some heat building up where the buttons are located. You think it’s repairable? Bought it in spring of 2019.

    I would email support@spartancamera.com and ask for an RMA to send it in to be looked at. It can't hurt

    I left it on for a while and the screen came on again with the same message. A status update processed reporting the camera was 111F. It wouldn’t respond to the switch and I had to turn it off by removing the batteries.
