Texting *500# to a 4g gocam
I have two identical 4g gocams model Z4Gb2 with Verizon service. They are both running the latest firmware. They are both using Spartan Cam credits and are set to 'Power Saving Off. When I send the *500# command to one of the cameras, my phone shows SENDING - SENT - DELIVERED and the camera sends back a picture that it has just taken. When I send the *500# to my other camera, my phone shows SENDING - SENT but never says DELIVERED and doesn't send a picture. The camera does send pictures when it detects motion as it should.
The cams are identical in every way I can figure but behave differently. What am I doing wrong?

That’s not actually something that’s officially supported. It dates back to the old 2G and 3G cameras on text plans. I wish I had an explanation for why the two cameras don’t work the same, but I don’t.
I’m not sure why you’re wanting to take picture now, but I use scheduled events to have my cameras check in with either a photo or a status report about every three hours. That way, the camera communicates and I don’t have to do anything to make it check in. I don’t know whether that would work for you or not. -
Thanks for the input! I have two 3g cams and two 4g cams. They all excepted the *500# command until about a year ago, one of my 4g cams stopped accepting it. I need 'picture now' for security reasons and for the same reason Spartan began marketing the GoLive camera.
I'm running Android. I will check with Verizon to see if all their protocol is the same for both 4g cams.
