Unfortunately I think it's going to need to visit Spartan HQ

Confirming that you changed the SD card. I have seen bad SD cards cause the exact problem you are describing.

Steve just for the heck of it try moving the switch on and off a bunch of times really fast.

Elizabeth, I tried three different cards, two new ones and the one that was in the camera.

Johnny, I tried moving the switch back and forth real fast, no luck. I'm going to let it sit with no batteries overnight with the switch on, and try it again tomorrow. Already got an RMA started, and it's still in warranty, but I'd rather not have to send it back.

I'm not sure what's up, but I got my camera back from Spartan today, they said they flashed it with the newest firmware, but it is still showing the old firmware. I'm not gonna try to update it until I talk to Spartan support on Monday.

It probably won’t hurt if you try it yourself, but it also won’t hurt to talk to tech support first. Have you tried using your camera?

Well I bit the bullet and downloaded the firmware again. I swear the filename changed from last week. Anyway, loaded it to the SD card and it updated fine manually. Got it set up at the back door watching the dogs go in and out the doggy door as a test...
