Notifications only when I open the app-not "live".
Samsung Note 10+ with 5G capability. When I go to App settings there are no permissions listed for the app. I can not turn them on or off. When I go to notification settings, it is on. I am at a loss

Here are some device settings to check because Notifications are also set for the device, not just in the app. That’s just one of the settings shown in this article.

Part of the problem is with the operating systems. Both Android and iOS control what and how information comes to the phones. I run several devices with both operating systems and what’s downloaded when varies. Sometimes I’ll walk in the morning and a device is current, sometimes it isn’t. There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason for it.
Do you not get status reports (event? requested?) or are you not getting status report notifications? What model camera? Status reports are sent with each photo or video on all but the old 3G cameras.

What times are your scheduled status reports? At you not getting the status reports to the app, email, or both? I’m running some ATTb and ATTxb and I’m getting my status reports to the app. The xb sends one with each photo or video, as well as scheduled ones. The ATTb only sends scheduled ones.

Status reports are scheduled for 7am and 3pm. None are scheduled to be delivered via text, app only. Photos are scheduled 3x a day, none come to app unless opened. I just set images to be sent via text and app. They arrived real time via text but not via app. Unless of course I open app.

Watch this and see if it helps.

I think that there are apps that interfere with the Spartan app downloading in the background. I have a cheap Samsung tablet that I use when I run my cameras. I can’t tell you the last time I touched it, but it’s probably been at least three and a half weeks because we went to our camp four weeks ago. I brought it home and plugged it in and haven’t looked at it since.
It’s just after 9 PM and all my 9 PM event photos from tonight are there, the camera has kept the old pics purged (I have a 7 day purge). Apparently it has been downloading pictures properly and purging properly in all that time.
The same thing happens sometimes on my Galaxy Note 9 phone, on my three iPads (two of which I use every day) and the iPhone that I use only on WiFi, mainly to take app screen shots. Sometimes each of those will have downloaded perfectly through the night (usually a couple or three hundred pics), sometimes they don’t.

Even though this article is written for Verizon phone users, you may be able to use the technique for your situation.
