Please note that this is the app settings page, not a camera settings page. See the page selection icon at the bottom of the page. These screen shots are from the Android app. The iOS app is very similar.

Notifications
You probably want New Photo notification turned ON so you'll know when you get a new photo or video.
You will almost certainly want Status Report notifications turned OFF if they aren't already. Each time you get a photo, you will also get a status report. You probably don't need or want the notification for the status report; it's annoying to get two notifications at the same time.
Live Stream notification notifies you if someone starts live stream on one of your cameras or on a camera shared to you. You can tap that notification and watch the feed.
You can select which of your cameras and which shared cameras you wish to receive notifications for; you don't have to get notifications for photos/videos from all your cameras and from all the cameras shared to you. Unfortunately, there's no way to select/deselect all your cameras or all the cameras shared to you. You must set each camera individually.
Keep Local Cache (Days)
By default, unsaved photos and videos are kept on the app and the portal (web site) for 30 days (the default for this setting) then purged on the 31st day. You may want to set this to a smaller number of days for the photos to stay on your device.
We recommend that you do not delete photos/videos manually because that deletes them from the app on every device that has access to that camera and on the portal. You cannot recover them. If you want fewer photos taking up space on your device, set the purge days to a smaller number, something long enough that you have time to save any photos you want to keep, but not so long that your device is clogged with photos.
Seven or 10 days are good numbers. You may use as few as one or three. After that number of days, any photos/videos that you haven't saved to your device will be purged from the device but not from any other device or from the portal.
Update Timezone Automatically
If this is ON, the date/time on the status report, the date dividers in gallery and library views, and the date filters adjust to the time zone you are in. The date/time stamps on the photos will always be the date/time for where the camera is located.
If this is OFF, the date/time on the status report, the date dividers in gallery and library views, and the date filters will always be for the time zone set in your profile regardless of your current location time zone.
Show Confirmation Windows
The following three settings are used to specify whether you want to confirm deleting a photo, requesting a hi-res photo, or requesting a video. Set to ON if you want to confirm, OFF if you do not.

On Android devices, you can choose dark mode for the app even if you don't use it for your device. With iOS and iPadOS devices, the app uses whichever mode, light or dark, that you have chosen for Display & Brightness settings.
